Post-carceral feminism opens space to imagine justice outside of the current criminal justice system. However, community-based movements for accountability and justice often struggle to achieve ‘just’ ends. Based on 2 years of field research with community activists and accountability movements, this talk will explore both the promises and perils of non-state based justice movements in settler colonial Canada.
